The SCORES team from Up On Top afterschool program at Tenderloin Recreation Center enthusiastically participated in Civic Center Game Days in front of San Francisco City Hall this season, and Coach Zak did a great job after almost two years of no soccer at all during the pandemic!

The first couple of Game Days were definitely rough: students forgot the rules of the game, how to dribble, pass, and their fitness was not ready for full soccer games again. But, by the end of the season their soccer IQ grew, and so did their confidence on the field!

When Up On Top arrives to Game Days, they are one of the loudest teams in our call-and-response SCORES pledge. You could also always see how much they admire Coach Zak, and how much they love their mascot pup, Jay!
